Since one of my teammates from TTC Interpolis moved out to Valkenburg, me and the other teammates decided to visit him for a weekend. Valkenburg is a municipality in the most south of the Netherlands. This area isn't flat like the rest of the country, but there are soms hills. The town is known for the houses made of mergel-stone, retrieved from the local hills. The town used to be fortified in the past. But nowadays it is famous for its cycling events and the mass tourism.
We stayed in a hotel in the centre of town, where we did a sight-seeing walk. We also visited a local beer brewery (Gulpen) and enjoyed a BBQ at our teammates house, on one of the hill-sides of the town.
