New York

Going to 'the city that never sleeps' has been on the travel bucket-list for a long time. Joost had the same thoughts about going to NYC and we agreed on going to the States together this summer. We booked a return flight from Amsterdam to New York to spend ten days at the east coast.

We arrived in the evening in our guesthouse in Brooklyn. Next morning we walked the Brooklyn-bridge to Manhattan enjoying the view we knew from television. We strolled the streets around Wallstreet and took the free ferry to Staten Island to have a closer look on the Statue of Liberty. Back in Manhattan, we wandered around Broadway, China town and Bryant Park to end up at Times Square. It was so nice just to sit down on the stairs on Times Square and let the world pass by at this buzzing place. In the evening we went to an awful play on Broadway (A Perfect Crime) before going back to Brooklyn.

In the following days we explored some more on Manhattan; we went on top of the Rockefeller building to have an amazing view on Manhattan, we chilled out in Central Park and we watched a NY Yankees baseball-game. Time was flying in vibrant NYC!
