The Manuel Antonio village is next to the Manuel Antonio National Park. This park is the smallest NP of Costa Rica and has some nice beaches on the Pacific coast and some cool wildlife to spot. Despite the large amount of tourists (all prices for tourists are quoted in US dollars), my stay in Manuel Antonio met my expectations on the beautiful nature. This was what the Costa Ricans would define as 'Pura Vida'!

After the rainy days in Fortuna I went to Jacó on the Pacific coast to spend some days at the beach.
Unfortunately it was raining cats and dogs when I arrived in La Fortuna. After 2 days of mist and rain the Vulcan Arenal was visible from La Fortuna and I decided to take a trip to the Caño Negro river and spotted some wildlife.
A full day in a bus from San Juan del Sur in Nicaragua brought me to the capital city of Costa Rica, San José. I stayed here for 2 nights. It is just a big Latin American city, while I was visiting Costa Rica for its wealthy nature.
