It took us a day from Mapatos NP to Victoria Falls. We had to cross several roadblocks. The situation in Zimbabwe was tense because of an economical crisis. Many farms had been left by their owners and we saw many people lined up to get some money from the bank.
We camped at Victoria Falls camp site. Next day I booked a helicopter flight above the Victoria Falls. My first time in a helicopter deserves a special location :-). In the afternoon we saw the Falls from ground level. I imagined how extreme these falls would be in the rainy season. In the evening we had a sunset-booze-trip on a boat. I am sure that the booz was not the reason I saw some hippos. Though it might have helped for me to join the locals in their dance performances ;-).

We left South Africa in the night heading to Zimbabwe. In the Mapatos National Park a guide takes us on a game drive to spot rhinos. We got close to them because the ranger did some good analyses of rhino poo to locate them.
