Fuerteventura

After previous visits to Gran Canaria and Tenerife, this time I am spending a week on the Canarian Island of Fuerteventura. After a propitious (but very early) flight from Schiphol Airport, I had a transfer to the resort-town of Corralejo. My hotel is almost on the edge of the Corralejo Natural Park, known for its beautiful white sand beaches surrounded by a huge dune area. Most days were spend on these beaches. There is also a “popcorn beach” in Corralejo.

With the local bus I also went to El Cotillo. Here I explored the beautiful beaches and lagoons as far as up to the lighthouse on the northwest coast of the island.
