Heading north from the Cameron Highlands on our way to Thailand Daniel and I made a stop in Georgetown on Penang island, just off coast from the Malaysian mainland. We took a bus to the fishers town of Teluh Bahang and walked another hour to find the isolated monkey beach. It deserved its name, since monkeys were really out for our stuff! I also climbed the highest hill on the island (Penang hill) to have a look at the Kek Lok Si temple and to enjoy the views.
